You have a mission and assignment to complete for the Kingdom of God!

I’ve recently been reading the book of Ephesians over and over again. It has always been one of my favorite books of the Bible but I have received so much fresh and timely revelation from it in this particular season. I was reading Ephesians 1 early one morning during my time with God and Ephesians 1:18 just really jumped off the page to me as a prophetic word for so many in this season.

Ephesians 1:18 in the Passion Translation says, “I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that He finds in us, His holy ones!”

Many believers do not allow themselves to have an imagination with the Lord. God has plans and dreams for you, your life, and the world! He is looking for someone who will allow Him to dream through them. Everything I am doing in my life started out as a vision or dream from the Lord. What good things from God are you missing out on because you haven’t allowed Him to imagine or dream through you? Dream with God in this season! Make yourself available to the Lord and say, “God, if you are looking for somebody to dream through, dream through me.” As you say yes to dreaming with God, your imagination will grow and both your soul and your spirit will be illuminated by the glory of God.

Just as this scripture says, I believe in this season God wants to flood you with light until you experience the full revelation of the hope of His calling for you! In my years of ministry, I have encountered people who have said they are missing a piece to the puzzle of God’s purpose for them. When you do not have a clear vision of your future it can make you feel unsure of what your next step should be. However, the Lord wants to give each of us the clarity we need in order to follow Him into the next step. God is always moving forward and if we are following Him then we must always be moving forward as well.

Ephesians 1:18 calls us God’s holy ones. In the book of Leviticus the phrase, “Be holy as I am holy” is repeated eight times. If you aggressively pursue God by walking in holiness then you will fall deeper in love with the Lord and have a greater degree of intimacy with God that will illuminate everything you do. The eyes of your understanding will be enlightened and the light of glory will fill your soul and your spirit just like this scripture says.

To fully step into the calling of God on your life, it is important for you to be truly dead to the flesh, following the leading of the Holy Spirit and picking up your cross daily. When we do this then we are not living our lives for ourselves but instead, it is Jesus Christ whose will is being done through us and it is His Kingdom we are advancing in the earth. You have a breathtaking purpose that God has for your life. It is the calling, purpose, destiny, giftings, and abilities God has given you that is the “wealth of God’s glorious inheritance” in you that Ephesians 1:18 talks about. God has not sent a single person to the earth without a specific calling and purpose for them to fulfill. You have a mission and assignment to complete for the Kingdom of God!

The Lord will give you wisdom, knowledge, and revelation so that you can carry out everything that He has called you to do. One of the most important ways we access that wisdom and revelation are by diving deep into the Word of God. As we dig deeper into the Word, we understand God’s way, hear His voice and the revelation of His Word becomes deeply rooted in our spirit. This is the key to thriving in this season. It is time for you to understand your calling, step into your purpose, and be illuminated to the breathtaking purpose of God for your life!
