I Am the Door

I am the door, the way to God.

Posted on

I am the Way–

The only way,

So come and

Follow Me.

I’ll shepherd you;

I’ll lead you in.

I am the door

Away from sin.

I’ll be your friend;

I know just when

Your heart is aching, so.

I’ll bring the salve

And heal your hurts;

I’ll be your friend,

Not foe.

I am the door

That’s what I’m for

To the Father up above.

You will find rest

And happiness;

I am gentle as a dove.

I’ll lead and guide;

I’ll shepherd you

I’ll love you to the end.

Come follow Me;

I am the Way,

And your needs

I’ll surely tend.

I am the door,

The way to God,

I’ve come to set

You free.

I died for you

Upon a cross

So many years ago.

I rose again

So you’d find Life

And find that Life

In Me!

“So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:7-10

    Such a Beautiful Poem, dear Sharon! I love it! 💖 It’s very simple and well-worded, which makes it easy to understand for those that don’t have a relationship with Jesus. It’s the Call of the Father to His lost sheep! Awesome job, sweet friend!
    LOVE & HUGS, from one Poetess to another! 🥰 xo
