Hiding Place

Where do you go when you want to hide away or just be by yourself talking with God?  That place of hiding in Him is a delight to Him when we position ourselves with Him and shut out the world around us.  

Here’s what happens when we do:  “You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall surround me about with songs of deliverance.”  Psalm 32: 7  

Something happens when we surround ourselves in that secret place with Jesus. He draws near!

Here’s the advantage of pressing in and letting Jesus be your hiding place, “The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”  Psalm 32: 8 

Being in that secret place with Him makes us feel so secure and safe.  When we lose ourselves in Him, every care and worry dissipates.  

It’s the best part of my day and the most precious part of my life, to be “Still and know He is God.”  Psalm 46: 10

When we gave our lives to the Lord this happened:   “For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.”  Colossians 3: 3 

The transformation that takes place from the Holy Spirit is that we live for Him and not for ourselves.  His character becomes our character.  Then we can say, “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”  Galatians 2: 20

Hiding in Him and for Him is the best place to be positioned.

Mary Beth Pecora, a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, worshiper and servant leader, who loves life and loves people.
