He Reigns Above It All

All the plotting and planning and scheming of those who oppose God are futile and in vain and should be no threat to us as children of the Most High.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Psalm 145:13

Imagine… we serve the KING of kings and the LORD of lords! (1 Timothy 6:15)

And, He. Reigns. Above. It. All!

Above all kings. Above all lords. Above all governing authorities. [Past, Present, and Future].

Scripture tells us in Psalm 2 that when the “power brokers” of this world plan a rebellion against the Creator and His Anointed One, God’s response is laughter. He doesn’t worry or panic or get stressed. His knees don’t shake or wobble, and His teeth don’t chitter or chatter. He. Just. Laughs!

I believe His response is also an invitation for us to do likewise. Instead of getting uptight, concerned, and anxious – let’s just laugh. All the plotting and planning and scheming of those who oppose God are futile and in vain and should be no threat to us as children of the Most High.

We are joint heirs in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:17). We are seated in heavenly places with Him (Ephesians 2:6). And, He has given us the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome the enemy and nothing will harm us (Luke 10:19). Why? Because He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven (v. 18). Satan tried it before. He tried to plot against God to obtain control. But what happened? He fell like lightning from heaven. He and one-third of the angels who followed suit.

God, out of LOVE [the very essence of who He is], intricately designed us in His image and in His likeness (Genesis 1:27). We were created to reign with Him (Revelation 5:10) and to have dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:26). It’s not for a thief to come in and take over. Satan doesn’t belong here. We were the ones God created to dwell on this earth. And, as joint heirs in Christ Jesus, the nations are our inheritance (Psalm 2:8).

So, when rulers suggest that they are trying to “take over” or “push God out of the way”, let’s not fear or run for cover. Instead, let’s be encouraged. Let’s take up our position and reign with Jesus, the Anointed One.

Let us speak LIFE and HOPE over the challenging circumstances that we face. Let us pray for others to RETURN to their Creator and receive His LOVE and the GOOD PLANS He has for them (Jeremiah 29:11).

One day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Romans 14:11). So let us be as He is, in this world (1 John 4:17), that He may be glorified, and His ETERNAL KINGDOM, made known.
