He Has Given The Kingdom

God has been dealing with man and their own kingdoms since the beginning of time.

Yes, the Father has given the Son the kingdom.  Now the Son has given us the kingdom.  “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”  (Matthew 6: 10)  Yes, Lord bring heaven to earth.

Jehoram, the son of Jehoshaphat, established himself firmly over his father’s kingdom.  He did not walk in the ways of the Lord, “He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done.  He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.”  (2 Chronicles 21: 6)

God has been dealing with man and their own kingdoms since the beginning of time.  The tower of Babel had to be destroyed because man wanted their own tower that would reach to the heavens.  They had spoken one language, but  God confused their language and brought forth many languages, so they couldn’t communicate with one another while working on the building of this man-made structure.  This structure was built with pride and arrogance by men who desired to show how great they had made their nation.  It was a building displaying their own kingdom.

Interesting, that on the day of Pentecost God’s people were all together in one place and tongues, languages, were spoken forth as the fire of God came, not to confuse, but to unite, and the kingdom of God was built as the disciples, empowered by the Holy Spirit, were sent forth.

  • The kingdoms of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and his Messiah, and he will rule forever and ever!” (Revelation 11: 15)
  • No other kingdom can survive, but the Kingdom of God, which is within us.

Jehoshaphat had ruled and reigned over Judah for twenty-five years.  He walked in the ways of his father, Asa and did not stray from them.  Before he died, “The kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side.”  (2 Chronicles 20: 30)

Now his son, “Put all his brothers to the sword, along with some of the princes of Israel.”  (2 Chronicles 21: 4)  This was certainly not a time of rest for Judah.  But,“Because of the covenant of the Lord had made with David, the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David.  He had promised to maintain a lamp for him and his descendants forever.”  (2 Chronicles 21: 7)  (Shared from 2 Chronicles 21: 2-22: 2, Modified)

The Lamp Of The Lord Is Over His Kingdom

The Spirit of Truth highlights and illuminates God’s Word.  Jesus’ promise to us, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, our Counselor, is promised to be with us forever.  “For He lives with you and will be in you.”  (John 14: 17)

The precious Holy Spirit teaches us all things and reminds us of everything Jesus has said to us.  When that occurs, the lamp of the Lord is revealed as revelation comes and He teaches and guides us.  “The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things.  (John 14: 26)

The Psalmist cries out, “Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms, that do not call on your name.”  (Psalm 79: 6-7)

God Desires To Bring Release, For The Sake Of His Kingdom

His prayer was, “Do not hold against us the sins of the fathers; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need. Help us, O God, our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.”  (Psalm 79: 8-9)  (Shared from Psalm 79, Modified)

Let Your Kingdom Come

There’s a kingdom call going out, to those who’ve learned to praise and shout.

It’s a call for bravery, courage, and truth, a call to be completely sold out like Ruth.

For she met her kinsman-redeemer at the place of being alone, for His kingdom is to be built as He sits upon His throne.

This call will bring us to a new place in Him, where love, grace, and mercy cover all our sin.

He wants us to know this love full of future and grace, given to every man, woman, and race.

So as you answer His journey and call, know that He’s with you forever, once and for all.

So embrace His purpose for eternal life, where it will end all chaos, fighting, and strife.

And as you grow in this walk of faith, surrounded by His grace, continue to stay close and seek His face.

When His kingdom is built and others come forth, each will know of their precious worth.

When our life is over and His call is complete, face to face we will one day meet.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, to bring glory and honor to none but the Son.
