Greater Is He!

Do not become weary or discouraged by what your eyes see; not about your life or about what man is doing.

For many years I truly wondered if my life was a continual case of “mistaken identity.” I found myself in places that I never dreamed of being, walking with people that I was sure I’d never know and doing things that I knew I was not qualified to do!

As time went on and these occurrences continued to happen and even accelerate, I realized how my life wasn’t a tribute to my strength, my abilities, my training, or my gifting…it was a tribute to how God can take the weak and foolish things of this world to confound the wise. I began to understand more and more how full dependency upon the Holy Spirit can bring wisdom and favor that is undeserved and cannot be earned.

As we (the body of Christ) face so many mountains that appear impossible to scale or remove, I am once again reminded that it only takes the faith of a mustard seed to move a mountain and it is “by His Spirit” (not our strength or might) that great things are accomplished.

“…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

You may not be qualified to move a mountain, to stand in places of authority, to walk with kings and princes, to speak with wisdom and knowledge from on high— BUT GREATER IS HE WHO IS IN YOU THEN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD!

If the “you” that you are familiar with is stopping you from a life of influence— then that is your mountain that needs to be removed. It is not “you” that will be raised up— it is God in you! He will be exalted and he will be made known as you humble yourself before him and trust His Spirit within you!

Everywhere we turn we find that we can no longer trust in the laws of our land that were put in place to protect us, the governments and leaders that were put in place to serve and represent us. We cannot trust the earth not to shake or mankind to walk in the fear of the Lord. BUT— we can trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts and not lean on our own understanding. We can trust His Spirit in us to do what we cannot do. We can offer our mustard seed sizes faith and plant it into the soil of “Yahweh” to see what will grow or what will be removed.

Do not become weary or discouraged by what your eyes see; not about your life or about what man is doing. God is greater and he has not changed. He lives in you and you are a tabernacle of His glorious presence and the place where His power flows from. One day, every knee will bow— but today, we willingly bow our knee and acknowledge that he is greater, stronger, and wiser than any man or any power on earth.

Greater is He!
