Good Times!

As believers in God, we must believe that whatever is happening in our lives will eventually be good because we serve the God who is more than able to work all things together for good.

It’s time.

It’s time for good times.

Wow … this is hard, isn’t it? The fear … the uncertainty … the media … the isolation … the statistics … the virus .

It’s just all so hard.

It’s time for good times.

If you’re wondering what I am talking about, let me explain …

Navy Seals are known to be among the fiercest, the bravest, and the best-trained of all of our fighting forces.

They face danger with nary a concern for their very lives.

Navy Seals are what legends are made of.

There is a particular phrase that has become an intrinsic part of the DNA of the Navy Seals.

“Good Times!”

When an enemy comes their way … Good times!

When they are inconvenienced due to a disappointing assignment … Good times!

When they are required to swim through dark, murky waters … Good times!

I am not exactly sure why the two-word phrase, “Good times”  was chosen by the Navy Seals as their unofficial motto, but I do know why it should be our motto.

As believers in God, we must believe that whatever is happening in our lives will eventually be good because we serve the God who is more than able to work all things together for good.

Good times!

Today, I want to give you the tools that will enable you to turn hard times into truly good times.

You see … when we partner with God in the process … His goodness is infused into us and miraculously we become both creators of good times and purveyors of good times.

So … rather than writing a traditional weekly blog … over the next few weeks, I will be writing more often than once a week.

I will be sharing with you short but meaningful principals of what it requires to turn the hard times in life into the good times in life.

Perhaps these principals will actually turn this hard season of life into your very best season yet!

Will you join me?

Will you join me on this joyful journey that will enable you to traverse the murky and dark waters of a pandemic into a time where the goodness of God is revealed in your life?

Will you?

Let’s get started!

The first principle is music!

It’s all about the music that you listen to while you are engaged in a fierce battle with the enemy.

Music changes everything!

A song is your life-saver … your protective shield … and a high-powered weapon of warfare.

As believers, we start singing the “Hallelujah Chorus” before we see a victory in the natural.

We worship in the middle of the storm.

Our song is louder than the lies of the enemy.

A song wins every time!

Never  underestimate the power of your song to turn “hard times” into “Good Times!”

When you are afraid … sing.

When you are overwhelmed … whistle a happy tune.

When you are discouraged … pull a song out of your back pocket.

When you are worried … belt out a victory song!

Keri Cardinale Schoppe, my incredible worship leader, and I have compiled a “Good Times Playlist” for you!

I hope that you will download these 5 tunes and allow them to become your anthem during the days that lie ahead.

Who knows?! Maybe … just maybe … you will hear women all across America singing along with you!

Share this playlist with your friends … with your family … with your neighbors … on social media … and with your dogs!
