God’s Abilities or Yours?

“It’s not only outside of my comfort zone, but it’s also completely beyond my capabilities God!”

Lots of us read the passage of scripture, (and even love to quote it), where we are told to walk by faith and not by sight or appearance (2 Corinthians 5:7), but how many of us really understand what it means? I’ll admit that I thought I did until I actually started doing it, then I realized how different it really was!

The things that God has told you to do in visions and dreams are often way beyond your natural talents or your natural abilities, so when we observe those visions and dreams from that standpoint they look impossible. It’s at that place where we begin to explain to God that, “it’s not only outside of my comfort zone, but it’s also completely beyond my capabilities God!” The crazy thing is that He’s already completely aware of this.

The dreams and the visions that He has given us can only be accomplished by His Spirit and His ability to operate through our lives, not by our ability at all. If you could do it yourself, then you could take credit for it, but if it’s outside of the realms of yourself then only the Lord can get glory from it.

Most every promise and vision that God gives us requires faith IN GOD’S ABILITY FLOWING THROUGH YOUR LIFE to accomplish it. Most of the time that’s why we never gain enough courage to do them, because it means Trusting God’s ability in the place of what we think we can do ourselves. God has to show up or nothing happens.

“But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you; for MY STRENGTH AND POWER ARE MADE PERFECT and show themselves most effective IN [YOUR] WEAKNESS. Therefore, I WILL ALL THE MORE GLADLY GLORY IN MY WEAKNESSES, THAT THE STRENGTH AND POWER OF CHRIST (the Messiah) MAY REST UPON ME!” 2 Corinthians 12:9

If we really want (and desire to see) Gods visions and dreams that He’s given us to come to pass, it’s going to require us to lean on His abilities flowing through us by the Holy Spirit and not our own strength.

IT’S TIME TO GET OUT OF THE BOAT! None of us can walk on water unless God Empowers us to do so, because it is outside of the realm of our natural abilities, but if the Grace, Power, and Ability of the Holy Spirit come upon me, I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

As we do, (and begin to step into the realms of Faith), we will start to see His ability operating through us by the Power of the Holy Spirit in the place of those weaknesses.

“Through Faith….Extinguished the power of raging fire, escaped the devourings of the sword, OUT OF FRAILTY AND WEAKNESS WON STRENGTH AND BECAME STALWART, EVEN MIGHTY AND RESISTLESS IN BATTLE, ROUTING ALIEN HOSTS.” Hebrews 11:34

IT’S TIME TO RUN ON THE WATERS OF OUR CIRCUMSTANCES AND SURF THE WAVES OF EVERY DEMONIC ATTEMPT TO STOP US. Trust God, that if He told you He was going to do it through you, that He’s also going to give you His Ability and Power to carry it out. It’s not about us anyway, because it has always been about Jesus Christ!!!
