God Is Busting Out of the Box

Many of the ritualistic things that we do every week are being widely rejected by this generation because they want something tangible and real.

Back when Israel was wandering in the wilderness, Moses built an Ark for the Lord to dwell upon. On the Top of that Ark was a solid gold piece of furniture called the Mercy Seat. It was the place where the Presence of God would come and sit.

This Mercy Seat was also the place where (once a year) the High Priest would go into the Tabernacle and place the Blood of Atonement upon that Mercy Seat to COVER the sins of the whole nation. This was the practice that they observed all throughout the Old Testament to COVER the sins of the people so that they could have some sort of a relationship with God.

“And HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

When Jesus appeared on the scene As the Propitiation (Mercy Seat) for our sins, He not only WIPED THE SINS AWAY INSTEAD OF COVERING THEM, but He also REMOVED THE NEED FOR THE BOX. The Ark of the Covenant was no longer the residing place for the Presence of God.

“However, we possess this precious treasure in vessels of earth, that the grandeur greatness of His Power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves” 2 Corinthians 4:7.

In this day and age, we have attempted to put God back in the box again, but instead of using the Ark of the Covenant, we have attempted to enclose Him (and restrict Him) within the 4 walls of a church building! The box in this Age is bigger than the last one, but if Acts Chapter 2 has taught us anything it is that His choice of Residency is IN AND UPON HIS PEOPLE!

“But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: After those days, says the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Jeremiah 31:33

GOD IS BUSTING OUT OF THE BOX! Too many times we have tried to put Him back Into a nice little compartment in our lives where maybe once a week, once a month, or once a year we actually have some kind of interaction with Him. This description is not a relationship though, for God is looking for real relationship between you and Him.

Just like He broke out of the box of the Ark of the Covenant, He’s breaking out from the four-walled (man-made) structures of the church! In the past, this generation believed that if God was going to heal someone, save someone, or touch someone that it had to take place within the box structure of a church, but if we actually read scripture we’d realize that the real church is not the four walls of the building they’re in, but it is the People of God themselves.

“For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God; you are God’s garden and vineyard and field under cultivation, [YOU ARE] GOD’S  BUILDING.” 1 Corinthians 3:9

There’s an increased desire in this generation for the touch of the supernatural and it’s not a coincidence. People are done with religious systems and forms, many of the ritualistic things that we do every week are being widely rejected by this generation because they want something tangible and real.

The Awakening has been taking place for some time now and although many are walking about in darkness; they are searching for the Light. In order for them to find it though we must let the Lord break out of the Boxes that we have restricted Him to.

Every Believer who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the replacement for the Box, the Ark no longer houses His Presence and sadly many of the four-walled churches don’t either, but each one of us who has believed upon Him has become Living Epistles of Him.

“[No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in [a]your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody. You show and make obvious that YOU ARE A LETTER FROM CHRIST DELIVERED BY US, NOT WRITTEN WITH INK BUT WITH [THE] SPIRIT OF [THE] LIVING GOD, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

His Word is walking around in us, manifesting through us, and is being spoken by us. Not to only be seen once a year, and completely hidden from view, but seen and read by everyone who meets us. Let your Light so shine before men that they may glorify your Father in Heaven on the Day of Inspection.
