What makes us fully usable before God? The ability to work well with others, my brothers and sisters in Christ.
We must recognize that the church is both an army and a family.
Managing both types of relationships and roles could be quite a skill. How do we do that?
- Key #1 is working well with one another and don’t resist change. Ouch!
Change is inevitable in kingdom-building.
The first reason we came to live and serve Jesus is asking Him to change our hearts. Repentance is turning away from sin. That requires change!
Why do we resist change when it’s what catapults us to new levels in our walk with the Lord and with one another? If the children of Israel didn’t walk through the desert, they would never have crossed over into what God had promised.
- Key #2 Risks must be taken to embrace change.
We can’t keep going over the same territory, or going round and round the same mountain. There are other mountains to climb in the horizon. If we look far enough out, we’ll see them for God has them in our view. The beauty in discovering what God has created is to see the bigger picture.
I started asking Him for the larger view of things, a wide-angle lens. It’s amazing what is captured, what I was missing, with only a single focused lens. I learned that a single focus lens or fixed focus lens is only one focal length, so it is not possible to change your angle or view of things.
Asking God to see as He sees changes the size of the lens by which we see through.
If we don’t change or move out in new or different things, we may end up like King Saul. He was called by God but chose not to obey Him. He operated in the flesh, was jealous, and had some pretty wicked thoughts, like how to kill David. He no longer led under God’s anointing, he wanted control to do what he thought was right. He fed his own insecurities, afraid of launching out and embracing God’s will. Many times he failed for he didn’t seek God’s direction nor His will.
Seeking and yielding are important attributes of a Kingdom-minded follower of Jesus.
We must remember God’s call is for His people to possess the land. This requires change and moving out–moving out of our comfort zone.
Are we choosing comfort over cost? If we get too comfortable or lack the confidence in trying a new direction, this can keep us from going all the way with God. I am not saying to run aimlessly or recklessly without a plan or direction. However, the Father’s love is an overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love that chases us down and fights till we’re found.
Kingdom-minded believers know the cost of sharing this reckless love.
This kind of love may take us places that we would never go, or make us do things we would never do. Those who decide to follow Jesus completely; it will cost us something.
- Key # 3 Changes, challenges, and commissions are all part of being made fully usable for God.
Going to church once a week and having a good message weekly is not enough when you’re called to lead an army and a family. Families included multiple generations.
Being equipped is part of our calling. We are the army of God, not pew-warmers. We have been armed for battle. We have been given weapons, clothed and suited in armor, not to just sit and come to church once a week. This is vitally important, but there’s more!
As soon as I heard more, I heard this:
In the last days, my church shall rise to the things I’ve called them to, for I shall bring forth my Bride.
So advance My children and keep marching on; you’ll know where you are going and know that I have won.
So stay focused and united as one; continue in the things I’ve told you and many will come.
I urge you to be usable and oh so strong; you’re my army that needs to show others to belong.
I’ve called you family, so accept each other; your DNA now is for my sister and my brother.
Position yourself to be as one; delight in gathering together you’ll win as I have won.
Embrace your call to equip My Bride; My Spirit shall enable you so you don’t have to strive.
Learn of me to hear My voice; I’ll give you direction with each God-given choice.
There shall be days of feeling My strength and stride; then days of wondering where you should run and hide.
But don’t retreat and back down; your armor has been given to be worn without a frown.
Your weapons are to be activated and held in place; there’s territory to be taken, it begins with grace.
Your eyes shall see My kingdom come; as heaven descends and you see where you’re from.
You’re from the lineage of Jesus, the Glorious Son; whom has come for all of mankind to be one (won).
One family, an army to display; My glory is upon you without dismay.
Heaven comes to earth and you’ll see My power; as heavens blessings will be released in the final hours.
So in this season discover who you are; My Bride, My church, My coming is not that afar.
There’s work to be done; and people to be saved; so stop your fighting and join in the parade.
The parade of believers of yet to come in; to be released from their lifestyles and cleansed from their sin.
You’re bought with a price, so heed the call; it’s been my intention since the garden and the fall.
My plans are the same; my mission hasn’t changed; so get moving and don’t be afraid to rearrange.
The change you’ll see as My presence descends; on this My children, you must depend.
For it’s not by might, nor power of your own; it’s the power that is released from My throne.
I’m still ruling and reigning and in charge of it all; don’t let distractions keep you from My plans or My call.
Join with those who are of like-mind; those brothers and sisters who love to be kind.
Their meekness and humility are always seen; this is not a weakness, it’s My love that makes men clean.
Embrace My call to change your world; I’m heading up the army so stay strong and bold.
Quit pointing the finger and wanting to be right; grab hold of my humility and you’ll soar and take flight.
Soaring above and over it all; it’s part of my ascending to keep you standing tall.
Not for others to see and exalt; but for My glory to be released, for you are My salt.
The salt is for the world to see; that I died on a cross and hung from that tree.
So don’t lose sight of your original call; to go into the world with My love releasing to all.
KINGDOM PRINCIPLE: Always be available to receive His plans, there’s more for Him to give for every child, woman, and man.
