Every general in every army started out from a lower rank, every manager started from a place where he was (at one time) in the lower workforce, and every Father was at one time a Son. As each of these places was (and are) realities in every one of our lives, we all must realize that we learned everything we know from somewhere else. Not one of us has just appeared upon the scene with knowledge and understanding that we didn’t gain from someone else.
As I have grown and aged over the years, I always find myself looking back and remembering how I used to think that it would be so cool if I could just do what the older people around me in the church were doing.
What I didn’t realize at the time is that every single one of those people paid a price in experience (and other things as well) to get to the place where they were doing those things that they were doing, just as I would find myself doing in order to experience those same things later on.
Before I could get to that place, though, I had to be trained by the Holy Spirit in areas of my life that would, later, become stepping stones for me to get to the place where God would entrust me with the “GREATER THINGS THAN THESE” experiences. It’s never an issue of whether or not we can trust the Lord with those things or not it’s whether He can trust us with them.
“I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, HE WILL HIMSELF BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS THAT I DO; AND HE WILL DO EVEN GREATER THINGS THAN THESE, because I go to the Father.” John 14:12
As if found myself growing in the things of the Spirit, I would constantly feel the Lord adding new things to my life. New mantles, deeper experiences in the Spirit realm, even several trips to Heaven and back, as well as the ability to see and experience the Angelic.
Each one of these things is a part of the inheritance of every Son and Daughter of the Kingdom of God. But if we really want to experience them, it requires a very key thing between the Lord and us, and that thing is “REAL TRANSPARENCY.”
Being real with God in a mutual relationship of Love is critical because God doesn’t want to withhold any of these things from any one of us. As we continue to relinquish the reins of our lives, step away from the steering wheel and allow Him to lead us, He will cause us to walk (or Run) right into these Supernatural places Naturally. The Supernatural realm will become a regular occurrence within our natural realm, and everything that the Lord has given us as an inheritance will become available to us with time.
As you find yourself looking at what others are operating in and wishing that you could do the same, I would encourage you to focus on what the Lord has put in front of you and do everything that He’s told you to do by His Spirit.
As you continue to step out in the “LITTLE THINGS” He’s told you to do, you will begin to find yourself moving deeper and deeper into His Presence, His Power, and His Glory than you ever have before. As Trust is built between you and the Holy Spirit, He will continue to add things to your life that you asked for (and even wished for) from years past.
Don’t despise the day of SMALL BEGINNINGS. He Who began that Good Work in You is Faithful to complete it because He wants you to do those things even more than you desire to do them yourself!
