March 12, at a meeting of The Filling Station in a hotel function room, I seriously thought we had breakthrough.
Worship was off the scale — I was looking for the glory cloud. This was followed by a time of Repentance and many tears flowing. The presence of The LORD was almost tangible.
Then, I was reminded, this morning, of something The LORD said to me which, for whatever reason, I never followed up.
Well, today, The LORD repeated what He’d originally said and then had me just linger over the words while He spoke for me to give to you!
“Come to My throne!” says The LORD, “Come closer. Let Me anoint you with fresh oil. Let Me reveal My heart to you.
Come to Me and I will Refresh, Re-fire, and Revive you. Then see how I will use you!”
So, that night we had come closer to the throne in our worship. The Word given in John 15 was all about us remaining in Him, and I really felt God was anointing us with fresh oil, which, of course, led to tearful repentance.
Today The LORD is calling all of us closer to Him and asking us to stay close to Him while He anoints us all with fresh oil. This dovetails in perfectly with words of mantles that many, including me, have spoken about recently.
Hear now the Word of The LORD. “Listen, My People, to enable you and to equip you for the coming season. I gave you the mantle to which I have called you.
Many of you have stepped joyfully into that mantle, but many more of you have allowed the mantle to slip.
This was due to various factors like doubt, unbelief, or disobedience. So I’m calling you afresh and urgently today to come to my presence once again so that I may be able to confirm everything for you.
Enter into my presence with awe and a reverential fear of The LORD. Linger there, stay there, abide there, for I will come to you. I will anoint you afresh, I will confirm your calling, and I will replace the mantle I have given you around your shoulders.
I will give you a fresh burden for your calling. My burden is light and it will not pull you down.
Rather, it will lift you up and you shall run and not grow weary. You shall soar on wings like eagles, and you shall do exploits in My Name and for My Glory!
Expect little — receive little.
BUT……
Expect Miracles — receive miracles greater than you have even imagined!
Stay close to Me — and see how I will use you!”
