Fearless Faith Provides

If someone asked you what “one thing” you desire above all else, what would that be?

Imagine someone standing on top of two peaks with one foot on each peak.  How would that person balance themselves with such ease? Climbing to that level requires good balance and tenacity.  Do we have that kind of fearless, tenacious faith?

What does fearless faith provide for us?  It provides being in the clouds, most of the time, which isn’t a bad place to be.  You are removed from the anguish that’s on the earth.

What does fearless faith provide:

  • Safety
  • Protection
  • Shelter
  • Hiddenness
  • Elevation

Here’s the scripture confirming that:  “For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surrounded me.”  Psalm 27: 5-6

How does one get to that level of faith? Let’s examine the verses prior to the one above.  The Psalmist was saying this: “One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek.”

He is saying this is the one thing he craves above all else. What is that one thing? Hear his passion:  “I want the privilege of living with Him every moment in His house, finding sweet loveliness of His face, filled with awe, delighting in His glory and grace.  I want to live my life so close to Him that He takes pleasure in my every prayer.”  Psalm 27: 4 TPT

If someone asked you what “one thing” you desire above all else, what would that be? Strong, elevated levels of faith come from spending time with God, putting Him first, delighting in Him, and living a close life with Him.

When we are smuggled in His secret place–we are kept safe and secure, out of reach from all enemies.”  Psalm 27: 5-6

Being snuggled and smuggled with God is when we are tucked in and tucked away, hidden in Him.

I’m getting a picture of a young toddler all warm and snugly, tucked underneath the blankets.  You know that image, that’s etched on your heart, when your kiddo’s or grand-babies are sleeping with that peaceful look on their beautiful faces.

Well, our Daddy God has a tear in His eye, too, when we are “tucked away” in Him. He loves when we are hidden close to Him, especially in the rough times, in the days of trouble.  Why?   When we go to that place of shelter, in Him, He confirms His promise of being “Our light and our salvation–whom shall we fear?  He is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall we be afraid?  Psalm 27: 1

This depth and level of security come from fearless faith which is produced by being hidden in God.  Run to Him in the day of trouble.  Don’t run anywhere else, first.

This response will produce in you, uncompromising faith that we learn:  “Not to give up; not to be impatient; and will be entwined as one with the Lord.  We will be brave, courageous and never lose hope.  Yes, keep on waiting,  for He will never disappoint you!”  Psalm 27: 14

Know that I am the Lord; those who hope in Me will not be disappointed.”  Isaiah 49: 23
