Having Favor with the King

God is always ready to hear what is on your heart and to guide you in the way you should go.

So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. Esther 5:2

Most people desire to have special favor with others who are at the top, the leaders and famous people. They want to meet someone famous personally but are unable to even get close because they do not have the special favor extended to them.

In a time when a person could be killed for trying to go before the king, Esther stood before the king. She found favor with the king, and he extended his scepter toward her.

The world is focused on gaining favor with the rich and famous or high-level politicians, people who are only temporary. They will go out of their way to gain the attention and favor of those whom they think can help them in some way or another. However, most often, the ‘little’ person is ignored or not even noticed.

Believers will sometimes get caught up in this same attitude in the church. They want special favor with the pastor or with some special speaker. Although having that favor is not necessarily bad, it is not always the best thing.

Every believer always has special favor one hundred percent of the time with The King–God. Many fear going to God because of sin in their life. However, God is always ready to forgive and forget sins when one will repent.

God always has an open ear day or night to hear when one chooses to call out to Him in prayer and faith, believing that He will hear and answer.

As a believer in Jesus, you are a child of God and have His favor upon you. He is always ready to hear what is on your heart and to guide you in the way you should go. It does not matter the time of day, where you live, or what you have done in your past. God is always waiting for your call.

Do not fear the judgment of God but repent of your sins and be willing to be led by the Holy Spirit in what you should say, think or do. Call out to Him, and He will extend favor to you and answer you.

Today I pray that you will know Jesus as your Lord and Savior; that you will know God’s love for you; that you will know God’s favor towards you; that you will not fear approaching God in faith; and that you will hear God speak to you and guide you in living for Him.
