Do You Need God’s Wisdom and Counsel?

We can live in WONDER rather than in “wondering and confusion.”

“Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will show him the way he should choose. He will live a good life, and his descendants will inherit the land. The secret counsel of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them. My eyes are always on the Lord, for He will pull my feet out of the net.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:12-15‬ ‭

These verses from Psalm 25:12-15 are so great!

This is why the Bible says that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). The fear of the Lord actually means, “reverential awe” (reverence: deep respect and honor). We stand and live in the deepest honor and respect of His awesome love and wonders!

Verse 14 of Psalm 25 says that those who fear Him will receive his secret counsel. This is the wisdom that is given and spoken of in Proverbs 9:10. Jesus walked in the secret counsel of His Father during his time on earth and we can do that too. We can live in WONDER rather than in “wondering and confusion.”

Psalm 25 promises that as we live in this deep reverence and awe that we will be shown the way we should choose and we will have a good life (that will be passed onto our children). It also guarantees that he will rescue us from any snare our feet get caught in. This is COVENANT and cannot be broken!

I am continually asking the Lord to help me to live in greater awe, reverence, honor, and respect for him in EVERYTHING I do— that this would be the standard that I uphold.

I am asking today, “What in my life is usurping the awe and reverence? Where do I need to lift up the standard of the fear of the Lord in my life?”

These are the questions that align us with the Holy One and his secret counsel…his wisdom and his ways. It’s good to ask the Holy Spirit to search your life and to find the areas that lack this standard of awe and honor. Then ask for his help to make the adjustments so that you have all that he desires to give to you today and every day to come!

It brings him such joy to answer us and to align us with the outpouring of his love, counsel, and covenant blessings. What joy it is to be loved so deeply and to walk in a standard that honors God and reaps a harvest of blessings!
