Dearest Fear

I would ask that you do not speak. Instead, I invite you to listen and trust that I am safe amongst the others.

Dearest FEAR,
⠀⠀
I’ve decided not to partner with you today. You’ve been a loyal friend, a constant companion.
⠀⠀
You’ve kept me close, working for days without rest just to ensure my safety. I believe you’ve earned a season of respite.
⠀⠀
You need to understand how much I love you, how accustomed I’ve grown to your company.
⠀⠀
I’ve set today’s table with place cards marked and seats surrendered. Grace and Courage have RSVP’d, and I look forward to my time with Faithfulness and Compassion.
⠀⠀
Your name has also been written on a card, old friend. You are always welcome at my table.
⠀⠀
I’ve seated you between Peace and Love, the two of whom you seem to admire. This invitation, however, comes with a request.
⠀⠀
I would ask that you do not speak. Instead, I invite you to listen and trust that I am safe amongst the others.
You seem a bit sickly, and I feel it’s because I’ve abused our friendship. I’ve taken advantage of your availability and willingness to serve.
⠀⠀
I’d like us to bring you back to health in this season. I think it’s time to rediscover your true purpose, and this may take some time.
⠀⠀
Don’t worry; I’m not leaving you behind. You are so valued, but I believe I’ve overworked you.
⠀⠀
As you settle in today, look around the table and remember your old friends. It’s time to embrace them once more. They are the key to understanding your worth. They will help guide you to where you belong.
I will not leave you; I just cannot allow us to go on at this pace. I will let you know when it’s your turn to speak once more.
⠀⠀
But for today, simply rest and receive. You are safe here. You will awaken again. And when that time comes, you will be embraced with open arms, for you will arise into a heart ready to receive your gift.
⠀⠀
I love you,
Meagan
⠀⠀
PS: If you happen to see Shame at the table, tell her to shut up, too. Thx. <3
