Confront to Conform

You will see God’s destiny and purpose for your life manifested when you confront those things that are holding you back in order to conform to the will of God for your life.

Recently in a time of corporate prayer at our church, the Lord spoke to me and said, “Confront to conform.” As I continued to pray and meditate on this word, I thought about the natural definitions of these two words. To confront something means to go against something. In this case, it could be a mindset, a standard, a principality, or anything the enemy may be throwing your way. Now on the other hand conform means to give into a rule, a standard, or a law.

After praying into this word and seeking the Lord for greater revelation I believe what God is saying is this. The Lord wants you to confront every single thing that does not align with the prophetic agenda He has for your life so that you can conform to who He has called you to be and what He has called you to do. You will see God’s destiny and purpose for your life manifested when you confront those things that are holding you back in order to conform to the will of God for your life.

I believe in this season it is time for each of us to go before the Lord and find out what’s not working in our lives, what may be limiting us, what areas are not flowing, and confront each of those things. It is vital in this season to use discernment in every single area and arena of our lives. We must ask ourselves questions like, do the relationships in my life align with what God wants for me? Is the way I’m spending my free time and energy moving me forward with God? Am I wisely stewarding the finances and resources God has given me?

In this season, those who are willing to invest in themselves and what God is calling them out of will be those who confront in order to conform. The most important area we each need to focus on is our walk with the Lord. It is more important now than ever to be consistent in the place of prayer and digging deep in the Word of God. If you can master those spiritual practices and make them a habit everything else in your life will begin to line up as well. Scripture tells us to study in order to show ourselves approved. Always be teachable and excited to learn more, have a growth mindset, and be a forever student of the Lord.

If you are ever going to accomplish anything great for God, you will have to confront your limitations, wrong mindsets, and roadblocks the enemy will place in your pathway. The Bible says that the Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Now is the time to get aggressive in your walk with God and about the race He has called you to run. The Kingdom of God by nature is confrontational because we are at war with the enemy. However, we know that God has never lost a battle and we are fighting from victory, not for victory.

So, in this season seek the Lord with great intention. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you those things you need to confront in order to conform to God’s purpose and plan for your life. Find the right mentors and leaders to speak into your life to help you confront those things that are holding you back. Make sure you are surrounding yourself with people who not only believe in who God has called you to be but that love you enough to tell you the truth and point out your blind spots. Now is the hour God is looking for those who will confront those things so they can be conformed into His image and advance His Kingdom like never before! Now is the time to confront so we can conform!
