Chosen One

We must lead by example. It’s the most effective and authentic way to lead.

Do you see yourself as one who is chosen?  Most of us do not. If you are a follower of Jesus, who is the Chosen One, we are also called and chosen.

Here’s what an Old Testament prophet named Isaiah spoke forth and now being fulfilled, “Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen. He is my Beloved, who pleases me. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.”  Matthew 12: 18

John the apostle was sharing John The Baptist’s testimony about Jesus when he baptized him in the Jordan.  He said, “I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that he is the Chosen One of God.”  John 1: 34

We, too, are called and chosen of God as His followers.

What are we called to?  Well, ultimately to be His representatives here on the earth.  That can be released in many ways. How can we represent Him?  It’s simple!

Within the word represent is the word present.  How are you presenting Jesus?

When we walk in His presence and are a true follower, it will be obvious because His love and character will be emanating from our every action, before we even open up our mouths.

Here’s a significant truth that we can learn from, “God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.”  Romans 3: 25

This is the gospel!

When we are chosen we choose to present the gospel, to be part of bringing people to God.

We take them by the hand and show them the way in our actions and lead them by His Word.  We don’t force them nor manipulate them, nor bet them over the head with scripture,  we simply say “Let me show you the way.”

We must lead by example. It’s the most effective and authentic way to lead.

I am being reminded of the precious Words of God who spoke through His messenger saying to the Israelites, and now saying to us: “I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.”  Isaiah 41: 9

As we read further on we see this:  “You are my witnesses…says the LORD. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.”  Isaiah 43: 10

We are called and chosen to represent Him well!  Can I get a witness?
