WORSHIP VIDEO SPOTLIGHT

HEAR THE LION ROAR

by Jeff Woods and Providence Road Band

Several weeks ago, I was particularly enthralled by worship at MorningStar Fellowship Church led by Providence Road Band. Although unfamiliar with this Charlotte, North Carolina-based band, I was immediately drawn in by lead singer Jeff Woods’ anointed voice and the talented group of musicians around him.

By the time they finished the worship set, I found myself wanting for more. I was particularly moved by a couple of songs, including this one, “Let the Lion Roar.”

Fast forward a couple of months, I was delighted to find Jeff and Providence Road Band back at MorningStar to lead worship again. When they transitioned to “Let the Lion Roar,” my wife, Beth, quickly asked, “What is this song? I love it!”

Often times, we find that the encore performance is not quite as good as the first impression. Not this time—the second time around was even better! What particularly stood out was how Jeff and the group’s back-up vocalist blended together and harmonized so masterfully.

We have learned that Providence Road Band plans to include this song on an upcoming album release. We look forward to hearing more from them in the near future. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this worship video as much as we do.
