Beloved

God can mend your broken heart and pour His liquid love into that crack that so longs to be filled.

Oh, the beauty of sweet, young love!  We all have memories like this picture that are so sweet to look back on, especially when we age.  Throughout the years, some folks have faced a separation, or even a divorce, a disappointment of a “forever love” that was severed.   Many are still living in the past remembering what was, with the reality of what will never be.  Some are still waiting for the love of their life. Some unfortunately have lost their beloved too soon, tragically taken by disease or accident.  All of these circumstances need the healing love of our true Beloved that He provides.

Can I tell you that there is only one who has promised everlasting love?  Yes, Jesus, our Beloved.  Here’s who He is: “I am my lover’s, and my lover is mine. He browses among the lilies.”  Song of Solomon 6: 3

He not only browses among the lilies, but He hides us in His heart forever!  He’s with us all the time when we are happy and when we are sad, when we are lonely, and when we are misunderstood.  Every situation in life we encounter–He is with us.  He won’t check out, nor accuse us.  His love is constant and remains.

My favorite verse, that this entire website is based upon, is “My Beloved is mine and I am His.”  Song of Solomon 2: 16

No one can love us like Jesus!  His love is unconditional, and never-changing.

We don’t have to earn His love, we already have it.  We are told this, yet we still have to accept and believe and, “See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us his children, and that is what we are!”  1 John 3: 1a

The prophet Isaiah proclaimed this about Jesus years before He came upon the earth.  He said, “Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen.  He is my Beloved, who pleases me. I will put my Spirit upon him.”  Matthew 12: 17-18

Whatever relationship may have scarred us or left us disappointed, hurt, and wounded, God can mend that broken heart and pour His liquid love into that crack that so longs to be filled.

Draw near to Him and let Him be your Beloved.  He knows how to comfort and reassure us that we are adored and loved by Him.  He still can bring that right person into your life, the one hand-picked by Him with His character and His love that He has sealed and chosen for you. In your waiting, let Jesus be the lover of your soul and watch Him answer the cry of your heart.  Keep your focus on Him, and not what you want from Him.  He already knows what’s in our hearts and He longs to give us good things for He is a good, good God.  Trust His timing!  It’s always different than ours!

He Is The Lover Of Our Soul, Our Beloved.
