Assurance of Being a Champion

This path of a pure heart often accompanies sorrow and keeps us moving forward and becoming stronger.

Do you consider yourself to be a champion?  If you answered yes, champions have the skill and the will to move forward.  It takes great balance to juggle the many hats we wear as individuals and servant leaders.

KINGDOM POINT:  The key to moving forward while balancing our lives is to be consistent with having a pure heart.

There is something about the pure in heart that brings blessing and strength. Here’s a scripture that alludes to that:  “The righteous shall move onward and forward; those with pure hearts shall become stronger and stronger.”  Job 17: 9

Not wanting to take any scripture out of its context, I started reading the beginning of the chapter and noticed that Job initiates saying, “My spirit is broken, my days are cut short, the grave awaits me.”  Job 17: 1

Is he unhinged in his thinking?  He expresses openly his broken spirit and complains to God about the false accusations of his friends, who are counseling him.  Then he switches to talking about moving forward and onward in a pure heart.

If he was being sarcastic about moving forward, no matter what obstacles we face, there is truth to what Job is saying:  Keep keeping on!

A similar (sister) promise is  Psalm 84: 6-7, which says this:  “Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.  When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs.  The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.  They will continue to grow stronger…”

KINGDOM POINT:  Setting our hearts on a path (pilgrimage) that leads to God, is having a pure heart to follow His leading, even if you are broken and weeping along your journey.

God is encouraging you to walk through your season of weeping.

This path of a pure heart often accompanies sorrow and keeps us moving forward and becoming stronger.  Certainly, in this day and age, it takes great will and skill to follow with an undivided heart.

KINGDOM POINT:  Keep your heart pure towards the things of God, and watch Him balance out your life and all that you are called to.

His safety net shall enable you to ride along while holding on to His promises.  To some, this looks foolish.  To others, this looks inviting.

Whatever side you are riding on, cautious or adventurous, it’s time for us to get a handle on things and keep marching forward.  Keep moving, onward Christian soldier, army of God, and Bride of Christ. Enjoy the ride!  We have places to go!
