One of my favorite books in the Bible is the book of Romans. It used to be hard to understand, but now I have a better grip on it. The theme of the book shares how our salvation is the beginning of the Christian experience and how we can live in the union of Jesus by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. We are made alive in Christ, by living life through the Spirit. The very first verse I learned and memorized from this book is one that most will be familiar with.
Here it is, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8: 28)
In other words, if you love God, He’s turning all things around for our good even if we don’t see good now. He’s working His purpose out in and through us.
Basically, He’s saying that every circumstance will be used for my life in some good way!
Why? “In all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8: 37)
This is why we need to be “in Him.”
How can we believe this or apply this truth?
Be convinced and assured of His love and faithfulness.
Let this next verse convince and assure you. Grab hold of it: “I am convinced that neither death, nor life, neither angels, nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 38)
That is one of the longest sentences I’ve ever written. I am out of breath just reciting and writing it!
In summary, we learn a very important principle that will sustain us through all.
That KINGDOM PRINCIPLE is: It is impossible to get beyond God’s loving reach.
