Are We Fully Persuaded in What We Believe?

It’s through believing in the promises of God that we become partakers of the divine nature of God.

God’s desire is for all of us to be fully committed to Him and His purposes in the earth. The major key to remaining fully committed as God desires is to believe wholeheartedly in His promises. We must be fully persuaded as Abraham was.

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “It was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:20-22

Just as Abraham believed in the promises of God, and it was accounted unto him as righteousness, so must we. Hearts fully committed unto God, and his purposes must believe that God will perform on their behalf as He’s promised. As seen below, when we believe God for His promises, it produces His glory in and through us as vessels unto honor.

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20

Caleb is a great example. When he went before Joshua concerning the land promised him, He reminded him of how he had fully followed the Lord by believing in the promise to take the land. He equated fully following the Lord with believing in His promises.

I was forty years old when Moses, the servant of the Lord, sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions, but my fellow Israelites who went up with me made the hearts of the people melt in fear. I, however, followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly. So on that day, Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever because you have followed the Lord my God wholeheartedly.’ Joshua 14:7-9

When we believe in the promises of God and His ability to perform on our behalf, we gain the ability to go forth with passion, fervency, and zeal fulfilling His word. We can engage the enemy, knowing we have total victory over him. We are fearless as we trample over him with all the power and authority given to us by Jesus.

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and overall the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

It’s through believing in the promises of God that we become partakers of the divine nature of God, which enables us to be all that God has purposed for us. Without believing in His precious promises, we’ll never be able to follow Him wholeheartedly. We must believe!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:2-4

In order to believe in the promises of God and be fully persuaded of them as Abraham was, we must first get them embedded into our hearts by meditating on them. We are promised in God’s word when we meditate upon His precepts, we will have good success. This is what allows us to keep our eyes focused on His promises during difficult times rather than the circumstances that seem to be invading our lives. We then make decisions according to His promises rather than our present unwanted circumstances. This is what enables us to go from faith to faith regardless of what’s happening in our lives, and continually enables us to be involved in God’s prophetic purposes.

May you be richly blessed in all that God puts before you as you believe whole-heartedly in His promises that are all yes and amen.
