Whatever you need our God makes all things new. If you’re in need of wisdom and understanding, He provides. If you need to start anew, He is able to give you the strength to do so. Whatever you need, reach out and up.
Everyone needs wisdom at one time or another. So where do we go to receive it? There is one who is wisdom Himself, His name is Jesus. Having the “Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise.” (Psalm 111: 10)
As I look at the scripture, I see it’s not just enough to begin with wisdom, but we need to follow His precepts. Those who do them will gain understanding.
- We can trust His precepts.
- Trust Him, Trust the Word.
“The works of His hands are faithful and just; all His precepts are trustworthy.” (Psalm 111: 7)

The Lord Accomplishes
What has the Lord accomplished in your life? What still does the Lord want to accomplish through you?
Isaiah prophesied this way before it came to pass. We have seen Him and embraced the Messiah. “The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders, and He will be called Wonderful Counselor (wisdom); Mighty God (power), Everlasting Father (faithful), Prince of Peace (Shalom).” (Isaiah 9: 6, Emphasis added)
- The first accomplishment is Jesus was given!
- The second accomplishment is Jesus will accomplish His works through us.
He wasn’t just delivered. He says, “For us a child is born…For us a son is given.”
- Jesus is for us! “If God is for us, who can be against us.” (Romans 8: 31)
- He is on our side.
- He came down to our side, the earth side of creation.

A New Heaven And A New Earth
All things will be made new! Oh, what a glorious day that will be. If God is able to make a whole new earth and heaven, He is surely powerful enough to help us in our hour of need, whatever we need. Look what we have to look forward to.
John saw what is to come. He testified of this: “Now the dwelling of God is with man, and He will live with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God.” (Revelation 21: 3)
- This is what God always wanted to accomplish with His people–to be with us, to be alive in us.
He never wanted dead religion for us, that was man’s agenda. He wanted joy, peace, restoration–His Holy Spirit alive and active in us.
He is making everything new, yes! God is the beginning and the end.
John was carried away in the Spirit and shown “The bride, the wife of the Lamb.” (Revelation 21: 9)
The River Of Life
He was carried away in the Spirit by an angel, to a mountain great and high, and he showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
I can’t wait to see this glory, my eternal home, heaven!
“I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.” (Revelation 21: 22)
All darkness is wiped out. No fear, no pain, no tears. Nothing impure can enter, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Then the angel showed John the river of the water of life, flowing from the throne of God. On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month.
So we have the Lamb’s Book Of Life and the Tree of Life, are they intertwined somehow? Both have life within them.
John heard and saw the Lord say, “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Revelation 22: 7)
“I Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David and the bright Morning Star. The Spirit and the Bride say, Come! And let him who hears say, Come! Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22: 16-17)
So now we have all three, the Water of Life added with the Tree of Life and the Book of Life. All three are in the book, the Book of Revelation, which is the revelation of Jesus.
I propose to you all three reveal Jesus! In Him, and Him alone is Life, He is the Beginning and the End. The Tree of Life was presented in the Book of Beginnings, Genesis, and now in the Last (End) Book, Revelation. His life-giving water is always flowing from the throne, flowing towards all of mankind to bring life, eternal life.
He met the woman at the well, introducing Himself as the Life-Giving water; and revealed the Spirit and Truth. Jesus is still meeting folks at the place of being thirsty. Everyone who hungers and thirst shall be filled! Fill my cup, Holy Spirit!
Come and drink from Him. There is life in the river, the river of life! Yes, Come Lord Jesus. Only you bring new life, eternal life.
