Aligning Or Purifying Our Focus

It’s time to align and refocus on the plans of the Lord for our lives.  No more procrastinating, the time is now!

Being prompted by the Lord, I recently asked a woman of God, a cultivator of the flock, to give me a title for an article so I can write something fresh.  She gave me the title, and voila, here it is!

Are we aligning ourselves in purity and staying focused?  Deep question, I know.

There are many things we can be focused on, good things or bad things.  Is our focus being purified?  Are we aligning ourselves with the Word of God?  Let’s dive in.

Do we believe that God is bringing all things into alignment?  Yes!  Do we believe that He is aligning our individual purpose while purifying our focus?  Yes, if we are a true Christ-follower and if we allow Him to purge some things.  So we must ask ourselves what is the most important thing to us?  What takes priority above all else?

We can be walking into alignment in the wrong place and with the wrong people.  Here’s an example of this:

God, Don’t Be Silent

“God, you have to do something!  Don’t be silent and just sit idly by.  Can’t you see what they’re doing?  All your enemies are stirred up in an uproar!  They despise you, Lord.  In their defiant arrogance they rise up to host their secret counsel against your people.  They conspire together to come and harm your cherished ones–your hidden ones.

Our enemies keep saying, “Now is the time time to wipe Israel off the map.  We’ll destroy even the memory of her existence!  They’ve made their pact, consulting and conspiring, aligning together in their covenant against God.”  (Psalm 83: 1-5)

  • Are we aligning with the right people, those who will bring forth and focus on the purity of God’s plans and purposes?
  • Divisive ways are from the enemy.

How does God purify us?  “Fire is the way to test the purity of silver and gold, but the character of man is tested by giving him a measure of fame.”  (Proverbs 27: 21)

Here are some rhetorical questions as we refocus:

  • Have we let fame and fortune taint our pure lives in the Lord?
  • Have we allowed a measure of fame to taint the pure love of the Lord through us?
  • Have we compromised the truth for the sake of being made known?
  • Have we enjoyed giving ourselves a name?

We must remember all we do is for His fame and His name.

Being in the fire at this time is bringing all things that are impure to the surface.  Why?  God is cleansing and purifying us to be His pure and spotless Bride.

He is getting us ready to receive Him in a way we have never walked before.  Many will say, “We’ve never walked this way before.”  The Lord will say, “This is the way, walk in it.”  (Isaiah 30: 21)

It’s time to start walking in the ways of the Lord.  If we go left or if we go right, our ears will hear a word behind us.  It will be His voice, His Word.

Judah once rejected the Lord’s ways, “Stop at the crossroads and look around.  Ask for the old, Godly way, and walk in it.  Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.  But you reply, “No that’s not the road we want!”  (Jeremiah 6: 16, NLT)

  • If He has us stopped in our track, it’s a good time to ask which is the Godly way.  It alleviates taking a lot of wrong paths in our life.
  • Travel on the road He wants, and you’ll get to the place a lot quicker than we ever thought.  Obstacles will be removed too.

We are at a crossroads so we will choose to align ourselves and purify our focus.  A window of time has been given!  We can’t see where we are going because we are looking through the wrong lens.  If everything is blurry and out of focus, it may be that we are looking through our natural eyes and not our spiritual eyes.

Looking through the lens of purity–is refocusing our lives on God and re-establishing His plans and purposes in our lives.  Remember, we are His Bride.  He’s standing, waiting for us to approach Him, to walk down the aisle and meet Him. The veil has already been lifted, through His eyes of purity.  The blinders have already been removed.  My beloved is mine, and I am His!  He is waiting for us to carry out His assignment, as we come into alignment.

“All those who focus on Him and His coming seek to purify themselves just as He is pure.”  (1 John 3: 3)

“The Spirit and the Bride say Come!” (Revelation 22: 17)  The Bride cannot function without the Spirit, nor should we try to.  For in the days ahead the fullness of the Spirit shall be displayed upon the earth, through the people of God, His church, His Bride.  The windows of heaven shall be opened.  This is the assignment and alignment of the Saints.

John saw it, “He took me away in the Spirit and set me on top of a great, high mountain.  As I waited for what I thought was a Bride, He showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.”  (Revelation 21: 10)

  • Are we focused on this?
  • Are we aligning our life with the purposes of God?
  • How do we do that?

I carefully charted out my paths to align my steps with your decrees.”  (Psalm 119: 59)

Here’s how we get there:

I sought your blessing wholeheartedly, show grace to me as you promised.  I did not procrastinate and hurried to follow your commands.”  (Psalm 119: 58, 60)

It’s time to align and refocus on the plans of the Lord for our lives.  No more procrastinating, the time is now!  Align and purify your focus on the Kingdom of God and in building it.

  • Align yourself with Kingdom-minded folks.
  • Align yourself with praying folks.
  • Align yourself with believing folks.

Purge everything that is of no significance.  If our heart is turned away from something that used to bring us joy and pleasure, maybe God wants it out of our life?  If the same people you are hanging with are still doing the same things they did in college, it’s time to refocus.

A wise woman once told me, “Why do we keep looking in the rearview mirror when we have a much larger window before us.  Keep looking at what’s ahead, not what’s behind.”

A window of time has been given!  Take advantage of it, before the blind closes!
