While I have experienced, many times in my personal life, where everything just seemed to be going wrong and I felt that the whole world was against me, it was during those darkest of seasons that the Light of God reversed the course of my circumstances.
Many times when things appeared the Darkest for me, that was when the Sun of Righteousness began to Arise with Healing in His Wings dispelling the Darkness facing me. I call those episodes, “Seasons of Divine Reversal”!
“[BUT JUST WHEN THE ASSYRIAN IS IN SIGHT OF HIS GOAL] BEHOLD, THE LORD, THE LORD OF HOSTS, WILL LOP OFF THE BEAUTIFUL BOUGHS WITH TERRORIZING FORCE; the high in stature will be hewn down and the lofty will be brought low.
And He will cut down the thickets of the forest with an ax, and Lebanon [the Assyrian] with its majestic trees shall fall by the Mighty One and mightily.” Isaiah 10:33-34
“When the enemy shall come in like a flood, THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD WILL LIFT UP A STANDARD AGAINST HIM AND PUT HIM TO FLIGHT [for He will come like a rushing stream which the breath of the Lord drives].” Isaiah 59:19b
King David faced one of these kinds of trials when his hometown of Ziklag was destroyed and all of his family and the families of his men were taken (1 Samuel 30). The situation was so bad that his own men wanted to kill him, but it says that he encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6).
These kinds of dark times happen to many of us, but how do we respond to them? Do we fly off of the handle and attack those around us, do we fall apart and collapse because of the pressures, or do we do what David did and Encourage ourselves in the Lord?
Trials will always come, but it is our response to those trials that will determine their outcomes in the end. Because David sought the Lord first, instead of pursuing the enemy immediately as his men wanted him to, by the time he caught up with the enemy, they were completely intoxicated and incapacitated from celebrating their victory thus leaving themselves completely vulnerable to an assault from David and his men.
David didn’t just recover everything he had lost, but he also recovered everything that the enemy had already had in his possession. So just like David recovered all in his situation, I DECLARE THAT DIVINE REVERSALS ARE GOING TO COME UPON EACH ONE OF YOU THE SAME WAY!
WHAT THE ENEMY HAS MEANT FOR EVIL AGAINST YOU IS ABOUT TO SHIFT IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! THOUGH THE DEMONIC HAS SET TRAPS AND SNARES FOR YOUR FEET, I DECLARE THAT HE’S GOING TO FALL INTO HIS OWN TRAPS!!!
THOSE DARK CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ABOUT TO FACE THE SUNRISE OF A BRAND NEW DAY AND THE LORD IS GOING TO SHOW UP UPON YOUR BEHALF! MORE ARE THOSE WHO ARE WITH YOU, THAN THOSE WHO ARE WITH THEM FOR THE ANGEL OF THE LORD IS ENCAMPING AROUND ABOUT YOU AS YOU’RE READING THIS POST!
