The work of Jesus is amazing. His work not only paid for our forgiveness for our sins but also gave us power over sin. Let’s pray this quick prayer, receiving the power over sin and thanking God for our forgiveness. Let’s receive the power of the cross. If you agree, then share with a friend.

Prayer

Father, You’ve given me the knowledge and power not to sin according to this verse. I receive this victory right now by faith. I confess that I have power over sin, and I choose to take what You’ve offered to me because I’m grateful for the work of Jesus on the cross. I thank You for this promise! In addition to this, I also thank You for Your provision when I sin. When I sin, I have an advocate that speaks to You on my behalf. Thank You for Jesus! Jesus, You paid the price for my sin. You’re my atoning sacrifice, and I just want to say, “Thank You.” I love You, Jesus.

1 John 2:1, NIV

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
