A Life Interrupted by Demons

That thing wasn’t playing… but neither was I.

I went into a new age shop today – my favorite place to evangelize. I had a lovely talk with the owner. She would say manifest. I would counter with prayer. She would say spirits. I would counter with Jesus.

It wasn’t hostile. It was quite lovely.

She’s simply lost and operating under the wrong spirit.

A life interrupted by demons.

As I was getting ready to leave, I turned around to smile and say goodbye. What was looking back at me was not the same woman I had been speaking with. Her face was distorted and her eyes had changed shape. Even the pupils in her eyes were no longer human. It’s hard to explain….you had to see it.

This would freak out many Christ-followers.

They would go running – never to return again.

She’s a witch!

No kidding.

I knew that going in and had prayed accordingly.

I looked that thing dead in the face and said…

“I will be back, and I will be praying to God”.

You see, that’s the thing about demons.

They seek to intimidate.

This was an “identity check”.

It wanted to know if I know who I am.

I know who I am – and I know that thing MUST bow down at the name of Jesus.

Why didn’t I cast it out some may ask?

Because this beautiful prisoner…needs to want it gone… or it will return with 7 of its friends (7 – the number of completion – complete possession) and she will be in worse shape than she is now.

I will be back.

I will pray for her.

Fervently.

That thing wasn’t playing… but neither was I.

I stand in FAITH that Holy Spirit is drawing her in.

Demons are real.

But demons don’t scare me.

Demons are terrified of a Christ-follower who walks in the power of The Living God.

Its days are numbered.

I have God-fidence.
