Recently I had a dream in which I was being asked to speak at a conference by a man whom I only recognized to be Peter Parker’s uncle from ‘Spiderman’. I thought nothing of comics or spiderman in the dream- only that it was this man who was asking me to come and speak the ‘word of the Lord’ at the conference.
In the dream, I was having trouble ‘finding’ the word of the Lord before going to the conference. I couldn’t get any clarity, so I decided that I would go without knowing, and trust that God would speak. On the way out my door to head to the conference, I heard the voice of God speak as I crossed the threshold of my door to go out. He said, “Wisdom is Supreme. Get wisdom. In all your getting get understanding”. Immediately in the dream, I knew I had the word of the Lord.
I woke up from the dream and realized God had spoken directly from Proverbs 4:7.
Then I realized that ‘uncle Ben’ from Spiderman is famous for his line: “With great power, comes great responsibility.”
Even more interesting was that I discovered Uncle Ben’s name from Spiderman is actually Benjamin Franklin Parker.
Here is what I am sensing from the dream: Benjamin Franklin was a revolutionary. Also known as ‘the first American’.
I believe God is calling us to understand the moment of time we are in: It is the times of Revolution again.
Also, I believe God is calling us to carry His power but to understand the responsibility we have. Primarily the responsibility to get wisdom and understanding.
There is an invitation for us in this word, that I am going to be giving more insight and teaching on through the next couple of months.
Praying that we all would be given a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ.
