A Dream: Heavenly Room of Purification

There is a purification happening that is causing some to feel stripped of their gifts and anointing, but this is not permanent.

I want to share with you one single section of one of my dreams recently which I felt was significant for prayer and for going forward.

In my dream, I was in a land that I had never been to before. I was with a group of people that were all believers but from many different spheres and streams (most I had never met before). This place was under a massive bubble that was made of a translucent material. It didn’t feel like an earthly land but rather a heavenly place. Within this “bubble” every man and woman was being taken to their “root identity.” There was a purging that was happening for everyone in this place— a dying to all flesh and wrong identity. While there, I came to a hallway and before me was a well-known Christian musician who is very popular at this time. This man was crawling on his hands and knees and his hair was very long and untamed (he almost looked homeless in his appearance). He was in deep emotional pain and greatly struggling to get sound out.

I felt such deep compassion for him so I drew near. As I came near to his face I could hear that he was trying to sing but could not get any sound out. The harder he tried the more silenced he became until finally there was no sound. When the sound of his voice was gone (his gift, his passion, and even his identity), he fell into my arms and I was immediately filled with the depths of God’s love for him. I began to use my voice to tell him how much he is loved and how much I love him. It was so pure and so deep. I kept repeating over and over, “I love you, I love you, I love you.” But it was the love and voice of God speaking through me.

As this happened the Lord revealed to me that this man’s strength and identity had been in his gift. When it was stripped from him he was completely left destitute and despairing. He did not know the depth and height of God’s love for him as the foundation of his identity or the love of others for him apart from his gifts and talents (which were extraordinary!).

When he fell into my arms I have rarely felt such a deep and pure love for someone that I have never met before. It was like the love of God was poured into me to bring him into his true identity. In this place, I too had been stripped of my “gifts” but what remained and increased was the love of God.

Within this land or “bubble” (set apart place) every person was going through the same thing. If their gifts, talents, confidence, security, and identity were not rooted and grounded first and foremost in the love of God, they were being stripped away. It was a place of refining and going to the core root and foundations. Gifts were removed and all confidence in the flesh was stripped away. All that remained was what was rooted in love. Many were seemingly perishing but before they disappeared the love of God would come through to make them complete and whole.

Then the dream changed and I saw this Christian musician once again. He was sitting upright with his physical appearance restored and his gift of song restored but this time his identity was fully in the love of God. The joy of God’s love was like a garment of peace upon him and the anointing upon his gift was greatly increased.

This reminded me of the late Bob Jones’ brief time in Heaven when he died on an operating table (then was brought back) when he was asked only one thing, “Did you learn to love?”

There is a purification happening that is causing some to feel stripped of their gifts and anointing, but this is not permanent— it is for the sake of rooting and grounding His people in the love of God. If gifts of talents come before His love then this will weaken them to the point of desperation and despair.

“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:16-19‬ ‭

THEN YOU WILL BE MADE COMPLETE! Every other thing, no matter how good, will leave you incomplete. Ask the Lord to root you and ground you in His love. Let every other confidence be stripped away so that even our gifts are offered from the foundation of love.
