A Bruised Reed He Won’t Break!

We may feel as though we’ve made too many mistakes, but God doesn’t give up on us.

A Bruised Reed He Won’t break, and a smoldering wick He will not quench, till He brings justice and a just cause to victory. And in and on His Name will the Gentiles set their Hopes.”  Matthew 12:20-21

Even in the times, we are not operating at our personal best in our lives, or when we seem to be going through the worst stuff in our personal lives and we may feel as though we’ve made too many mistakes, God doesn’t give up on us.

We feel bruised and beat up by the circumstances we face, as the issues in our lives seem to leave us damaged and wounded and we feel totally alone. But God never leaves us or forsakes us, even in the midst of some of the hardest situations we can face, HE’S STILL THERE. He helps heal us from the wounds we’ve endured and the mistakes we’ve made in spite of our condition.

How many of us, at times, have felt like the, “DIMLY BURNING WICK”! We’ve experienced what it feels like to run out of oil in our lamps when we’ve accidentally (or on purpose) gone in the wrong direction or made the wrong choices.

As a result, we begin to create a lot of smoke to come (confusion) from burning to much of the wicks (flesh) of our lamps and not enough oil (spirit), the atmosphere becomes less clear and things don’t appear as easy as before. We begin feeling lost or distant from the Lord and as a result, we begin to look for the wrong turn we made in an endeavor to correct it.

But God is so gracious to us and causes us to achieve victory even through our circumstances and situations. He brings us back to where we needed to be and restores us completely, giving us victory over our situations and causing us to rise above them.

Come and let us return to the Lord, for He has torn so that He may heal us; He has stricken so that He may bind us up. After two days He will revive us (quicken us, give us life); on the third day He will raise us up that we may live before Him.” Hosea 6:1-2

If you feel like you are in one of these scenarios; whether you’ve gone down the wrong direction or you’ve been burning too much wick, IT’S TIME FOR A HOLY SPIRIT ADJUSTMENT TO YOUR COURSE. THIS ISN’T THE END OF YOUR STORY IT’S JUST THE START OF A NEW CHAPTER IN YOUR LIFE.

Allow God to realign you with Him and watch as your bruises disappear and the smoldering wick once again bursts into flame from a new infusion of Fresh Oil by His Spirit! HE’S THERE EVEN WHEN YOU CAN’T SEE!
