How can we understand how He spreads out the clouds, how He comes from His pavilion?
The Bridegroom-King of glory governs the entire earth. He’s coming forth to rule, coming out of His chamber, to make His presence known.
He’s coming as a champion to run His course. Is He coming to establish the race marked out for us to run?
We are told, “Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (Hebrews 12: 1)
So how is the King going to run? Through His Bride, that is us, His church!
Before we begin to run, God reassures us we have inspiring examples, heroes of faith of the past that were just mentioned in the previous chapter, Hebrews 11. They are cheering us on.
So when we run with perseverance we have champion strength behind us. King Jesus, the Bridegroom, is our champion.
How shall we run? “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion, who initiates and perfects our faith.” (Hebrews 12: 2, NLT)
KINGDOM PRINCIPLE: Keep your eyes on the King: who gives us champion strength and faith, which He initiates and perfects.
We are coming forth IN HIM.
