2022: The End of Silence — The Beginning of the Roar

I sense that God is about to roar over the wicked and the righteous alike. One will fall and the other will flourish.

Two days ago I was editing a chapter I wrote for an upcoming prophetic book to which I was asked to contribute. As I reread one section that referred to the 400 years of silence between the Old Testament and New Testament, suddenly the Holy Spirit clearly spoke to me. He said one sentence that gripped me immediately. I heard,

“This is the end of the ‘silence of the lambs’ and now begins the ‘roar of the Lion of Judah.’”

When I heard the word, “silence” I saw a number of things. First, I saw a spiritual war in the heavenly realm over the earth, as the enemy seeks to silence the Church. Second, I saw human laws and mandates that have been put in place to silence the Church. Third, I saw men and women in deep disillusionment, believing that their prayers had fallen on deaf ears; as if God had not heard their prayers. Finally, I saw the message of the Lamb of God being silenced from the ears of many who could be set free through salvation by grace.

I find it interesting that we are in a time in the United States that we have been recognizing and doing many prophetic acts and spiritual journeys regarding the 400-year anniversary of the Mayflower Compact, and the covenant the Pilgrims made with God as they began their life in Plymouth, Massachusetts. 2021 also marked 400 years since the first “Thanksgiving” (which we all understand went terribly wrong by 1622 when the Jamestown Massacre occurred). There have been many journeys of repentance by believers this past year regarding the breaking of covenants with God and with the Native Americans. Many have been led by the Spirit to rewrite and enter into the original covenants made with God regarding his desire and intent for our great nation: that it would be a Christian nation!

I personally believe that there has been a great war in the heavenly realm and in the earthly realm to stop what God began 400 years ago—a war to silence the lambs, the followers of Jesus Christ. This often unperceived war (or undiscerned/unrecognized war) has resulted in what we are seeing today: disunity with man and God, broken covenants with man and God, and evil having the loudest voice while Christ-followers are silenced.

The announcement that I heard: “This is the end of the ‘silence of the lambs’ and now begins the ‘roar of the Lion of Judah’” is a turning point! Just like the arrival of John the Baptist after 400 years since the final words in the Book of Malachi.

Let’s take a moment to reread the words in Malachi 4 (the final words before the 400 years of biblical silence),

“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant—all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel.

“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.” Malachi‬ ‭4:2-6‬ ‭

The end of the silence comes with the arrival of John the Baptist— the forerunner voice that preached God’s Final Judgment and baptized repentant followers in preparation for it. His message began a new level of warfare to silence the sheep of God’s fold and yet his message, through many messengers, has gone forth from generation to generation. The war to silence the message and dilute its core truth—creating a lukewarm church—is more fierce than ever. The message of the fear of the Lord that brings men to repentance has been tragically silenced from the understanding of the mass majority of mankind.

Though I do not know or pretend to know how God will turn this, I sense that he is about to roar over the wicked and the righteous alike. One will fall and the other will flourish. The Lord gave me Proverbs 29 to confirm this,

“When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan.” Proverbs‬ ‭29:2‬ ‭

Sheep nations will rejoice and flourish while goat nations cause their people to groan in oppression and misery. Proverbs 29 goes on to say,

“When the wicked are in authority, sin flourishes, but the godly will live to see their downfall.” Proverbs‬ ‭29:16‬ ‭

We will see the downfall of many wicked who hold seats of authority in all realms of society (from church to finance to government). The flourishing of sin will be diminished by the roar and the flourishing of repentance and the fear of the Lord will be heard in the land. The Spirit of Elijah that restores the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, and the undiluted message of John the Baptist will no longer be silenced as the roar of the Lion of Judah is heard!

Finally, I “sense” (I have not heard this from the mouth of the Lord but sense this from what I feel in my spirit— I want to make that clear) that God will do something in the United States that will be in response to his roar which will ultimately echo through many nations to bring the fear of the Lord and the flourishing of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
